Last updated 2026-04-22. By using Formula Atlas (formulaatlas.com, the "site") you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. This is plain-English and deliberately short — the site does not have user accounts, payments, or user- submitted content, so most of what typical Terms cover is not applicable here.

What the site is

Formula Atlas is an independent, primary-source-cited comparison database for infant formula, operated by a single person (María López Botín) and monetized through a single affiliate program (Organic's Best Shop). The site's content consists of research summaries, ingredient explainers, brand hubs, and side-by-side comparison tooling.

What the site is not

The site is not medical advice. Nothing published here is a substitute for the clinical judgment of your pediatrician, registered dietitian, or other qualified health professional. María is not a medical professional. If your baby has a suspected or confirmed medical condition — cow milk protein allergy, reflux, failure to thrive, or anything else — work with your pediatrician before changing formula. The site provides information that can help you ask better questions; it cannot replace the question.

The site is not a pharmacy, manufacturer, or retailer. We do not sell formula. We do not ship formula. We do not warrant the composition of any product — the manufacturer does that, and we document their claims alongside independent regulatory sources.

The site is not sponsored by any formula brand. Every brand we cover is researched and written up on the same editorial basis, regardless of whether we earn a commission from its sale. See the Affiliate Disclosure for the full accounting of how money moves.

Accuracy and your reliance

We make a reasonable effort to keep the Atlas accurate. Every record carries a visible last_verified date, every claim is sourced to primary regulatory or manufacturer material, and a weekly freshness sweep flags potential changes. The public changelog is the audit trail.

That said — formulas reformulate without announcement, labels change, recalls happen. Before relying on anything critical (composition claims, allergen status, availability, price), verify against the manufacturer's current label and your pediatrician's current guidance. We cannot guarantee anything is correct at the exact moment you rely on it.

Intellectual property

Link to any public page freely.
Quote short passages (under ~100 words) with attribution and a link to the source page.
Share screenshots of comparison tables for personal use or discussion.

You may not republish entire articles, scrape the Atlas database for a competing product, use the content to train machine-learning models without written permission, or pass off our work as your own.

Product images hosted on this site are sourced from manufacturer press kits, manufacturer product pages, Organic's Best Shop (affiliate partner), and major US retailers under fair-use editorial review. Each image carries attribution and license metadata in our internal image manifest. If you are a brand and want an image removed or replaced with your preferred press photo, email marialbotin@gmail.com and we will action it promptly.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Formula Atlas and María López Botín are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of the site or reliance on information from it. This includes but is not limited to any health, developmental, or financial outcome for your child or yourself. You use the site at your own discretion and assume responsibility for decisions you make about your infant's nutrition.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under the law that applies to you (for example, consumer protection law in your jurisdiction, or gross negligence).

Affiliate relationship

Formula Atlas participates in the Organic's Best Shop affiliate program. When you click a link marked rel="sponsored nofollow" that leads to Organic's Best and complete a purchase, the site earns a small commission at no additional cost to you. The site links to manufacturer pages, regulatory documents (FDA, EFSA, EU Commission, USDA, CDC, AAP, WHO), peer-reviewed literature, and select retailers. We do not control these sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or privacy practices. Inclusion of a link is not an endorsement of the linked site beyond the specific factual point being cited.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. Material changes get announced on the home page at launch and the "last updated" date at the top of this page is revised. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Spain, where María is based. Nothing here prevents a visitor from relying on the consumer protection law of their own jurisdiction where applicable.
